Welcome to Wednesday! As you step into the natural pivot point of the week, here’s a brief moment of encouragement and perspective to help you lead the pivots in your life. Leading the Pivot | Someone Else's Scorecard The Moment The colleague who seems to be moving faster. The parent who appears to have it all together. The person beside us at the gym who makes us self-conscious about our own effort. We are not always aware of it. But the measuring is constant. And the measuring stick we are holding is almost always someone else's. The Pivot The only meaningful competition we are given is the one within ourselves. The gap between where we are and what we are truly capable of right now. That is the distance worth closing. Not because everyone else is irrelevant. But because their race has different terrain and a completely different starting line than yours. When we turn our attention to our own potential, something shifts. The pressure of the sideways glance begins to lose its grip. We stop competing on a course that was never designed for what we are here to do now. The Move What would it feel like to set it down and run your own race instead?
