Leading the Pivot | The View From the Top

Welcome to Wednesday! As you step into the natural pivot point of the week, here’s a brief moment of encouragement and perspective to help you lead the pivots in your life.

Leading the Pivot | The View From the Top

Practical wisdom for the pivots that shape us.

The Moment

A difficult season has a way of putting one question in front of us. How do I know when to stay the course, and when to step away? When the trail turns sharp and the incline keeps rising, it can feel like nothing is changing no matter how much effort we give. Our sense of autonomy fades. Our influence feels small. And the emotional weight of it all can take over. Anger. Withdrawal. Anxiety that follows us into our sleep, our health, and our ability to show up fully in work and life. We feel like turning back.

The Pivot

And yet, sometimes the climb only makes sense from the top. From there you can see what changed, what was gained, and what became possible because you kept going. The outcome often requires the steepest parts. This is where discouragement gets loud, and it is also where resilience is forged, one hard moment at a time.

Growth and ease rarely belong together. If what you are working toward still matters, and your direction is still aligned, pressing on may be the very thing that takes you to the view you cannot yet see.

The Move

When the climb feels relentless and you are tempted to turn back, pause long enough to name the outcome you are moving toward. If it is still worth it, keep going and let the view guide the next step.

Cheering you on to your best life,
