Leading the Pivot | The Work of Unblocking

Welcome to Wednesday! As you step into the natural pivot point of the week, here’s a brief moment of encouragement and perspective to help you lead the pivots in your life.

Leading the Pivot | The Work of Unblocking

Practical wisdom for the pivots that shape us.

The Moment

We can usually feel when something is off before we can name it.

A team slows down. A conversation keeps circling. Progress stalls, but no one is fully saying why. In work and in life, bottlenecks do not always appear in obvious ways. They show up as friction, delay, and quiet frustration.

And sometimes what holds things up is the expectation that someone else will surface it, explain it, and fix it.

The Pivot

Leadership is not simply directing from a distance. It is being willing to step in close enough to see what is actually getting in the way.

We do not lead people well by asking them to carry the full burden of diagnosis alone. Sometimes leadership looks like entering the workflow, noticing what others are too deep in it to see, and asking thoughtful questions.

That is true in our relationships too. What stays stuck often needs our presence before it needs our answer.

The Move

What in your work or life is asking for your involvement, not just your oversight?

What changes when you are willing to see it up close?

Cheering you on to your best life,
