Welcome to Wednesday! As you step into the natural pivot point of the week, here’s a brief moment of encouragement and perspective to help you lead the pivots in your life. Leading the Pivot | Two Words That Land The Moment Well done. It rarely gets said, even when we have earned it. We finish something that actually took effort, and the moment slips by unmarked. We move straight into whatever comes next, because pausing to name it never occurs to anyone. Including us. The Pivot Our team is waiting too. So is our family. We can watch a teammate push through something hard, or someone we love manage something just as hard at home, and let both moments pass without a word. We assume the effort speaks for itself. It does not. Naming it out loud tells someone their effort landed, that someone besides them actually saw it happen. Recognition needs a voice, or it stays exactly where it started. The Move This week, notice who around you has been going without it. What difference might it make to say well done out loud, and let it land?
